A joyful Ruby Rodriguez is seen on Instagram early today, March 31st as she recalls a special moment between her and her sister over the holidays of 2016.

Ruby, together with her family, is seen playing in the snow at Big Bear Lake in California which is considered a premier tourist destination for its amazing snow and breathtaking views.

In the caption, Ruby recalled how her sister was kind enough to plan a trip for the whole family. At that time, they were all lamenting the death of their mother.

She wrote, “[The] year 2016 [was when] our mom passed away.

“To make sure no one is sad on Christmas of that year she made this trip happen!!! We are all so happy! Playing in the snow, teasing each other. Of course, it would not be real if Sally was not sleeping more often than not.

“It was my son, Aj's dream and wish to experience a white Christmas and his Mommy Sally was the one who gave it to Him.

“My heart exploded of happiness as seeing Aj so happy and my sister beside me smiling.”

Upon seeing the photo, Ruby couldn't help but feel teary-eyed over the happy memory.

She confessed that it wasn't the loss of a sister that made her weep but because of how proud she was of her sister's achievements.

She added, “Five days have passed and I can't help but feel teary-eyed not because I'm sad but because I have never been so proud of my sister!

“I'm so honored and proud to be your sister, Manang Sally!!! We love you so much!

“Oh, don't worry I will watch all of your favorite K-dramas for you and report to you how I like it. Too bad we were both waiting for the release of @actorleeminho new drama this April.

“I'm sure you'll get an advance screening in Heaven. Let me know if it's good, ok? I miss you so much!!! #myhero #covid19 #frontlinersph,” she concluded.

Dra. Sally Gatchalian passed away on March 26, 2020, due to complications led by the 2019 coronavirus (COVID-19).

The sad news was confirmed by Ruby on Instagram where she dedicated a lengthy message to the fallen doctor.

She said, “We will remember you with happy memories, laughing, and sleeping. Your johnson's outfits and all, how you love bling-bling, your Kuaff hair every day, your K-drama addiction (that you got me hooked too).

“I love you so much my big sister, say hi to Mom, Dad, and Manong Robert for me.

“Be at peace, do not worry about us anymore. Have fun in heaven! I love you so much!”
